Love helping others and making a difference? Want to get involved and support incoming first years? Eager to make new friends and form meaningful connections? Then why not become a mentor for ELSOC’s Peer Mentoring Program 2023
Our Peer Mentoring Recruitment is currently open for applications, and we are looking for fun people (like YOU!) to become our mentors! As a mentor, you will ensure that first years can enjoy the BEST opportunity to settle in to uni life.
What you can expect as a peer mentor: - Gaining AHEGS accreditation - Make friends with fellow mentors and incoming mentees! - Give the incoming first years the best possible experience as they enter uni - Committing to 20 hours across term 1 to supporting your peer mentee group - Holding regular activities and meet ups with your peer mentee group (including regular weekly activites, opening + closing ceremonies, ELSOC events, inter-group competitions and more!) - Coordinating with your fellow mentor to ensure that you are regularly meeting up with your mentees
Recruiting closes on Wednesday the 11th of January 2023, and interviews will be held on a rolling basis until the 17th of Jan.
