Job Summary
TIC is offering a 12-month part-time Electrical Engineering internship commencing in January 2023 for a current Electrical Engineering student who is keen to utilise their theoretical skills learnt in their degree and develop practical skills in the workforce. The internship will provide the intern with experience across a range of specialities and opportunities to progress their career and build strong, lasting work relationships. For the internship program, TIC is looking for undergraduate engineering students in their final year of studies with a strong desire to work in the electrical field; who are able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills; and who are highly motivated, pro-active and willing to learn. Our success is built on genuine teamwork, providing tangible development to our staff by giving them real responsibility and developing our technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Support our Product Management Departments (HV Motors/Drives, LV Motors, Power Electronics/LV Drives) with the day-to-day Engineering and Procedural tasks, required to provide product and services to our customers. Such activities would typically include:
ï€ Researching customer enquiries
Administration and follow-up on Helpdesk enquiries
Supporting Supplier/Factory Communications
Quality Inspections and Administration
Assisting in Submissions and quotations
Document Control
Drafting Reports
Familiarisation with the products and technical features will be an essential component to these activities.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
ï‚·Good analytical skills and have a strong attention to detail
Basic understanding of electrical / power generation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team
Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Valid car driving license highly preferred
